4 Reasons why an engagement session is important
Engagement sessions are beautifully important. Cause most likely you haven’t had professional photos done since senior photos and with your fiancé. So having an engagement session will be super important in prep for your wedding day. And the most important is having an engagement session WITH your wedding photographer. I have had the pleasure of capturing over a 100 weddings in over 6 years and 98% of them are couples that have had an engagement session with me and they have said they never regretted it and a must have! Here are 4 reasons why those engagement sessions are important and better yet with your wedding photographer.
1. CONNECTION
Engagement sessions are a great way to get to know your wedding photographer and build a relationship with them, which will be invaluable on your wedding day. When you have this time together the connection you have with feel like having a bestie on the wedding day than a stranger. You will be able to be yourself and fully enjoy all things wedding on your big day!
2. PRACTICE
It gives you the chance to practice posing in front of the camera and become more comfortable with your photographer. Knowing what you love and what you don’t love you will be able to know after the engagement session. It’s like test run before the wedding day.
3. TRUST
Having an engagement session before your wedding day will help you to feel more relaxed and confident on the big day. You will be able to trust your wedding photographer more by having this time in front of their lens. And know that you can trust them to know what you want and deliver those photos that you will treasure.
4. PRETTY THINGS
The session photos can be used for your save the date cards, wedding website, or as part of your wedding decor. This is a huge bonus! Being able to capture these moments will really allow you to get excited about the process. And being able to share these sweet photos with your friends and family will bring your love story together as a whole.
