YOUR’RE ENGAGED! Pop that champagne! The day has finally come to plan the biggest party you will ever have! Every beautiful emotion has rushed to the surface, and then the ‘oh man, where do I start!’ comes to the surface. There are so many things to consider when bringing this big day to life.
here is a list to help plan your dream wedding day
Not in any particular order, cause if you have a vendor or venue that no doubt in your mind you need to have, book them right away! But the first couple steps that I’ve done is the first 5 bullet points.
- Create a budget
- List some optional dates
- Create a guest list – that way you can narrow down some venues
- Research venues and go check them out and ask questions
- Book your dream venue and set that date to book your dream team
- Coordinator – you can hire someone to take care of the rest, month of, or if you have everything and want someone to just lead the day then you can do day of coordination
- Photographer
- Videographer
- Florist
- DJ
- Dress
- Caterer
- Wedding Stationary Designer
- Hair & Makeup Artist
- Decor Rentals
These are just to get you started. But the sooner you book your dream team of vendors more you will feel relieved and get to enjoy your engagement season of life knowing the big things are taken care of. And knowing they will serve you well during your journey towards becoming Mr and Mrs.
closer to the wedding day
When your day is getting closer it’s time to finalize some things. All vendors have their own ways and should be getting in touch with you in some way. I know for me I reach out to finalize things two months before your wedding via a questionnaire to get some major details of your wedding and to gather up a shot list. This is so I can get the timeline finalized together so you don’t have to worry about a thing on your big day. I love being able to control that part of the day so you can relax and know that your girl can make sure you get down the aisle in time!
Some vendors will even be in contact with through out the whole process. Like your coordinators! I also like to pop in and see how the planning is going and if there is anything I can do to help!

I’m so excited for you and for planning your dream wedding! Trust me I’m doing a happy dance for you! This season of life is so joyful! It shouldn’t be stressful. So don’t handle everything on your own, dedicate some portions of the wedding to your Maid/Matron of Honor/Bridesmaids or even your sister(s) or mom(s). You are in good hands! They want the best for you too and can help you expand your search for your dream team!
