You did it! You’re MARRIED! Now what do I do, is what you are probably thinking. There are a couple things you should think about doing after you’ve said your I Do’s while waiting on your final photos and videos from your special day. Here are 5 tips for after you get married:
First things first...get your name changed on your social security card. This is the most important thing to change in order to change all other things. You will need to wait to get your marriage license back in the mail before you do this first step.
Once you get your new social security card, the fun begins. Changing all your banking and credit cards to your new name. So grab a coffee or your favorite glass of wine and start listing out all the accounts that will need the change. That also includes student loan accounts. Once you list them out, next is tackling them. And pop the bubbly once your done, cause you've changed your name!
This can be a long process, but it can be easy and simple! Some couples just send out one Thank You card with a pre-typed message on the card our to everyone, which is the easiest. Or you can write individual notes to everyone, this is the most personal way. Your friends and family will appreciate it very much!
Leaving a review for all the vendors that helped partake in your special day to make it the absolute best it can be is something that goes such a long way. It is definitely appreciated and brings us so much joy. Small businesses love seeing the reviews. And the review will also help other potential couples find their dream team. Word of mouth is the best marketing for small businesses.
One of the best and funnest parts after a wedding is getting to see all the images your guests took. And getting to see the sneak peeks from your wedding photographer. Grab your favorite drink, your spouse, and a computer and see a highlight of the day you have been waiting for. Relive your wedding day!

“The photos that stand out to me most are the ones of my husband and I dancing the polka at our reception with my 93-year-old grandparents. I feel so fortunate to have had both of them in person at our wedding, let alone up dancing on the dance floor with us, even for a brief time. I still cry when I look at them. They will be so special to us in years to come.”
“Heather knew getting photos with my grandparents
was very important to me, and she delivered!“
