You and your fiance are obsessed with your sweet pup. Basically, it's your child. And you are wanting to include your him/her in as much as the wedding as you possibly can. You are in the right place! I have had the pleasure of capturing over a 100 weddings in over 6 years and most of my couples are the exact same way. And I'm blown away by how creative couples are! Here are ideas of to include your dog in your wedding journey.
If your venue does or doesn’t allow dogs on the property and your sweet puppy has a very special place in your heart. Having your pup in your engagement session photos is such a beautiful way to include your dog in your wedding journey. You get to enjoy each others company AND get some gorgeous candid photos. Don’t forget to bring a friend. That way they can help keep your sweet pup entertained while we get some photos of the two of you. Cause if your pup isn’t entertained that little one is gonna want to be near his/her parents all the time. And that’s not leaving a whole lot of time for the two of you.
Whether it be with a flower wreath or a cute attached ring pillow to the collar. Leading down leashed or free to run or walk down the aisle saying hi to everyone. But also like the engagement session I would dedicate someone or hire someone. That way they can take the pup and take care of the pup while you are enjoying your special day and not caring for a dog.
There are venues out there with a strict no animal rules. And that’s ok, there are ways to incorporate your fur babies in the wedding. Dog treats for other dogs and cute custom napkins are a sweet way to say ‘Hi there I’m here and my parents are married.’
Just like this one! Cocktail signature drinks are such a fun way to incorporate into your wedding to add that beautiful detail of your pups. I've also seen centerpieces that incorporated a couples life. And a couple of them included their fur babies. Whether it be about their dog. Or even their cat. And you can get custom little dog figurine and place it on your cake where it looks like it's eating a part of your cake. It's literally the cutest thing.
Never be afraid to make it your own. And I hope you can take away something from these tips of best ways to include your dog in your wedding journey. If you wanna see more check out other tips I’ve shared.

“The photos that stand out to me most are the ones of my husband and I dancing the polka at our reception with my 93-year-old grandparents. I feel so fortunate to have had both of them in person at our wedding, let alone up dancing on the dance floor with us, even for a brief time. I still cry when I look at them. They will be so special to us in years to come.”
“Heather knew getting photos with my grandparents
was very important to me, and she delivered!“

“However, what won me and my husband over was our first meeting with her. She was the most bubbly, pleasant, friendly, loving human being. We appreciated her warmth and her attention to detail. She was well-established, a wonderful planner, and she truly wanted us to have the greatest memories.”
“I loved her pictures. It was like love at first sight!”

“She has such a passion for her couples and capturing their true love story! It shows completely when she is snapping away. Her facial expressions and the gasps she makes when she takes a picture that she loves are just the best! We never had someone get as excited as her when taking pictures! And we love it!”
“Heather truly makes you feel like you are her
favorite couple ever to work with!”
