Marisa and Jared's Fall Engagement at Secrest Arboretum in Wooster, Ohio

When Marisa and Jared reached out to me inquiring about their wedding and engagement, I was struck immediately by the way we connected and their love story! But I never could have guessed how amazing they’d be in person! When they told me their vision for the engagement session: Fall but not all the way colorful, lots of greenery and flowers. And you know the place I always gravitate towards. The beautiful Secrest Arboretum. So, as we prepared for their Secrest Arboretum engagement session, I grew more excited by the day to spend time with them. And of course, document their captivating love story.

So, Marisa and Jared met years ago in 5th-6th grade at a relay. By the way, it was the cutest love story. They both had a crush on each other - Jared even had a photo of her in his locker. She didn’t know - how adorable is that?! But, their love story actually started in college. That’s when they started hanging out. I bet they didn’t images they’d someday be laughing and giving kisses during a Secrest Arboretum engagement session with their wedding day on the horizon! I can’t wait to see it all come to life!

Sweet Kisses, Joy, Love

As we took their engagement photos, daydreaming about their upcoming “I do’s” the whole time; Marisa and Jared mentioned they were excitedly looking forward to seeing the cascading tree and having fun in their photos. Boy, did we ever capture exactly that! When it comes to engagement sessions, the most important thing I can do as your photographer is create the images of your dreams that bring your personalities to life. So delivering on these wishes is so rewarding!

But let’s be honest: how could the images be anything less than amazing with a pair like those one in front of the lens.

Whether these images become the save the dates on the fridges of their loved ones or just the art decorating their home, I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to tell Marisa and Jared’s love story during a fun-filled Secrest Arboretum engagement session.
