Choosing your wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make while planning your wedding. It sets the tone for your entire day, influences your timeline, and becomes the backdrop for so many of the moments you’ll remember forever. One of my favorite parts of being an Ohio wedding photographer is getting to explore beautiful venues all across the state. Every space has its own personality, and I genuinely get excited when I see certain venues pop up on my calendar because I already know how beautifully they’ll photograph and what an incredible experience they create for couples and guests. If you’re searching for the best wedding venues in Cleveland Ohio, here are five that I absolutely love.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels elegant without feeling stuffy, Sun Valley is definitely one to add to your venue tour list. You don’t have to choose between a beautiful wedding and a fun one. Here, you really can have both!
One of my favorite things about this venue is how easy it is to make your wedding day flow. You can exchange vows surrounded by beautiful greenery, celebrate with everyone you love indoors, and never feel like you’re constantly bouncing from one location to another. Your feet (and your timeline) will thank you!
As an Ohio wedding photographer, I’m always paying attention to light, and Sun Valley gives us so many beautiful options throughout the day. We can wander off for a few portraits together without disappearing for half of cocktail hour, which means you actually get to enjoy those conversations, appetizers, and hugs you’ve been looking forward to.
You’ll probably love Sun Valley if you…

If you’ve never pictured yourselves getting married in a traditional ballroom, let me introduce you to one of Cleveland’s coolest wedding venues.
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History has so much built-in personality that your guests will probably still be talking about it on the drive home. Between the incredible architecture, modern design, and unique exhibits, every part of the day feels like an experience instead of just another wedding venue. If your Pinterest board leans a little more modern than traditional, this venue is absolutely worth touring.

If you’ve always imagined saying your vows surrounded by flowers, greenery, and sunlight pouring through glass ceilings, it’s hard not to fall in love with this wedding venue!
One of my favorite things about photographing at The Orchid House is that the venue already does so much of the heavy lifting. Everywhere you turn, there’s another beautiful backdrop, so you don’t need to overcomplicate your décor or spend your portrait time searching for pretty spots. They’re everywhere.
You’ll probably love The Orchid House if you…

If your dream wedding includes waterfront views and sneaking away for sunset portraits while your guests enjoy cocktail hour, Shoreby Club is going to check a lot of boxes.
Overlooking Lake Erie, this venue has such a timeless feel to it. It’s elegant without feeling overly formal and sophisticated without ever losing that welcoming atmosphere you want your guests to experience.
One thing I’d probably encourage you to do here? Let me steal you away for ten minutes around sunset. The light over the water is just too beautiful to pass up, and those quiet little moments together often end up being some of my favorite photographs from the entire wedding day. After months of planning, it’s nice to have a few minutes where it’s just the two of you taking it all in before heading back to celebrate.
You’ll probably love Shoreby Club if you…

If your wedding vision leans a little more modern, Truss Event Venue is one that’s definitely worth touring.
I love venues that feel like a blank canvas in the best way. Truss has a clean, contemporary design that gives you so much flexibility to make the space feel completely your own.
One thing I especially appreciate as a photographer is how open and airy the space feels. It gives us plenty of room to move throughout the day without everything feeling cramped, and that always helps the day feel a little more relaxed. Your guests can mingle during cocktail hour, your dance floor has room to fill up, and there are plenty of opportunities to capture both portraits and candid moments happening all around you.
You’ll probably love Truss Event Venue if you…
The truth is, there isn’t one “perfect” wedding venue in Cleveland. The best venue is the one that feels the most like you. And once you’ve found the venue that feels like home, my job is to help you fully enjoy every moment of it. I’ll help build a timeline that gives us beautiful light for portraits, gently keep things moving throughout the day, and capture all of the moments you didn’t even realize were happening. Years from now, I don’t just want you to remember what your venue looked like. I want your photographs to remind you exactly how it felt to celebrate there with the people you love most!
If you’re still searching for your Cleveland wedding venue, or you’ve already found the one and are looking for a photographer who will be your biggest hype girl and help you actually enjoy your wedding day, I would absolutely love to hear your story. Reach out and let’s start planning a photography experience that’s every bit as joyful as your wedding day itself.
