Jack and Sydney's engagement at Geneva-on-the-lake in Geneva, Ohio was an amazing treat. The weather, the views, the couple! As an Geneva-on-the-Lake engagement photographer, I've explored many stunning locations for photo sessions. And gonna be honest, I couldn't ask for a more perfect area to search! From the coastal rocks to the views by the gazebo has it all! But when Jack and Sydney told me they wanted to explore the grounds of the Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, I knew exactly where to take them for the session of their dreams. It just so happened to line up to where they wanted to explore as well.
Jack and Sydney met 2 years ago at college, not knowing what adventures laid ahead. I bet they didn't imagine they'd someday be laughing, kissing, and embracing a tickle fight during a Geneva-on-the-Lake engagement session. As we took their engagement photos, daydreaming of what their wedding day could look like, Jack and Sydney mentioned they were excitedly looking forward to seeing fun candids of their love in their photos. And boy, did we ever capture exactly that! The way Jack dotes on sweet Sydney it just makes you look at them in awe. When it comes to engagement sessions, the most important thing I can do as your photographer is create images that bring your personalities to life, so delivering on these wishes is so rewarding!

I also loved the way they dressed to complement the location. I always advise couples to look up inspiration images on my blog as well as reach out with what they are thinking and work as a team to create the perfect wardrobe. And these two definitely chose wisely! Jack's shirt tied into Sydney's beautiful floral dress and Sydney's blue floral dress gave all the coastal floral vibes that beautifully completed the look with a bow!
Finding the perfect spot(s) to take couples' photos isn't always easy, but you'd better believe I'll be planning another Geneva-on-the-Lake engagement session very soon! Congratulations, Jack and Sydney on your engagement, and I hope the wedding planning journey is effortless and amazing!
