Samantha and Darten’s Spring Wedding at Sun Valley
As an Ohio wedding photographer, I’ve documented weddings at many stunning venues. But when Samantha and Darten told me they were planning to say “I do” at Sun Valley I knew this was going to be a celebration to remember! From the moment we arrived until the newlyweds raced off into their happily ever after, Sun Valley was the perfect backdrop for the whole day.
As the bride got into her stunning dress, I couldn’t help but marvel at how pretty the getting ready space was! Its neutral walls and row of mirrors to get hair and makeup done in front of; I was blown away.
From getting the dress on and seeing herself in the mirror for the first time she was glowing and so ready to see her prince charming! Samantha and Darten enjoyed their sweet time together for their first look, before taking amazing portraits.

So, there was definitely no shortage of incredible spots for portraits, that’s for sure! For instance, the photos we took under the gorgeous overhang to the white gazebo. Also, having the ever so stunning wedding venue as a backdrop. That is to say, Samantha and Darten are going to have a crazy hard time choosing which ones to print and hang in their home!
As soon as we arrived for the ceremony, I was in awe of how gorgeously it was set up by the venue staff! Above all not only did it perfectly suit the dream wedding day Samantha and Darten had visioned from day one. But it also surprised me with the amazing florals on the A-frame arch and gorgeous chairs.
Then, off to the reception we headed! Before the party got started; there was a special surprise that Samantha’s dad prepared for them both and for the guests to see. So, this surprise consist of two very special characters that mean so much to these two and their family. Can you guess who came to party?! So, do you recognize them?! Certainly, once they entered in the party was hopping til the very end of the night!
Samantha and Darten’s wedding celebration was amazing, stunning, and downright joyful. Congratulations, you two on your marriage, and I wish the absolute best marriage and I’m so honored to have captured your love story!
